Amazon Lightning Deals Question

I just tried it with one of the items that went live. I couldn't get the lightning deal price when it was in my cart before time.

Went for that Sony IPod dock, they must have had one put aside because the deal was gone within one second! Maybe even a millisecond.

Last year, Amazon Lightning deals were much easier to snag, IF you were parked on the page at exactly the time they went live.

This year... what a scam. I am in full agreement that they must have exactly _1_ of each "high demand" product set aside for the "deal", because I'm not even seeing the Claim button go live. Hell, I'm still seeing a "Checking deal status" spinning icon on the iPod Touch 5th Gen deal that went live 15 minutes ago.

This is very unlike the experience I had last year, where I was able to more or less snag any deal I wanted if I was there at exactly the time it went live. My bet is there are going to be a LOT of po'd people who thought they'd get the same experience this year, and decided to go back to Amazon instead of camping out in front of a store or visiting other online e-tailers.

YMMV, but I'm not planning on doing much shopping this season at Amazon. Screw them!

So your networks latency is amazons fault?

Anyway i just sit on the lightning deals page been able to get anything I want.

I agree with the above poster...much easier last year. Got skunked 3 times in a row on IPODS. Good prices but I'm done with Amazon. Besides they started charging tax in my state anyway. Farg um!!

This year people just have newer computers, more people online, more people aware of amazon's deals, less people wanting to deal with the hassle of being outside, fighting, getting trampled, etc. Maybe next year will be good, as Amazon gets more stock and in-store retailers get less. But actually instore retailers are opening earlier and earlier, so....

I was really just curious as to what they were featuring. The quantities must be really limited on some deals. Was really looking to go for one of the TV deals but I may just plan on a B&M blitz attack. Just to throw this out there I got skunked on Chrome and Firefox. Good luck to all that try!

No it has to be added after the deal is live or else it will be regular price when you checkout

I got the Inspiron 15 for $329.99. I can't decide whether or not to keep it, but I don't see any other deals that seem as good.

I have a lightning deal question. Anyone ever see them removed before going live? I was eyeing this Brother HL3075CW printer today, and on another tab in my browser I was browsing the deals and it was gone. It is still sitting in my other tab...very weird. Anyhow just in case I will not refresh the tab with the printer there until 4:40 when it goes live lol...I hope they didn't just remove it....
