please accept my thanks!  Question: if I pay $100 to join Sam's Club and receive the $40 gift card, will I be able to cancel my membership a month later and receive a refund on the $100 membership fee? |

The answer is yes.....at any time you can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your Sam's Club membership.....even on the last day of your membership....go to the front and ask for your money back....they may give you grief, but its their policy |

Where did the OP find anything about this being a "Gift of Membership" promotion? The Black Friday flyer in my newspaper simply says buy a $100 membership and get a $40 gift card. It says nothing about buying a gift membership and getting $40 gift card.
If someone goes to Sam's Club and find out otherwise let us know. |

slightly off topic...
I went in today to take advantage of the upgrade to Plus. Paid a pro-rated amount of $38 and got a $25GC instantly. Net cost $13 for Plus... now I just have to hope there are some deals to take advantage of

For non-members. Take $40 membership level (what ever it is called) and you get $25 shopping card. I heard the commercial on the radio yesterday.
I did not have Sam's club membership and just got one for net $15. |
