I went to Walmart, applied for the store card at Customer Service, and was approved for $1,800 for the Walmart Discover card. Then, I took a printout of the current Target ad to electronics to price match for $175, used my new temporary card to buy it, which deducts $20 of your first $100 purchase, making it $155 + tax. The discount will show up on the first statement, and the cashier needs to scan the barcode in the pamphlet you get when you're approved for the card to get the $20 credit.
