Computer doesn't start up

Ok, when i power up the computer everything lights up, and the fan spins

On my monitor there nothing there, it goes to power saving mode.

I have check the hdmi cable. It works

I switch the graphic card

I switch the power supply

The monitor is still in power saving mode.

I also switch the monitors.

I have two computer so i was able to test each component.

The only thing i didn't test was the cpu and the motherboard.

I didn't test the RAM because both computer uses different types of rams.

Anyways that shouldn't be the case.

90% of the time, it's just the ram that needs to be reseated.
If you can clean it at the same time with contact cleaner or alcohol, all the better but not necessary.
Try one stick first and if it doesn't work, try another slot.

When did this happen is the biggest question?

try removing the ram and see if you get any beep codes, you many need to clear the nvram depending on your board there is probably a jumper somewhere. I have some Dell 790s that new from Dell have to have it cleared in order to boot?

also does the cpu fan spin have you disconnected the power from the dvd drive and the hard drive, removed the video card try all of these

Yes, the cpu fan spins. Yes i disconnect all the harddrives as well as the cd-rom.

I haven't try the ram re-seating yet.

First it was sometime the monitor goes into power saving mode, than 2 days ago, its always in power saving mode.

any beep codes if you remove the video card or unplug all the hard drives or keyboard and mouse
if the memory is not the issue and resetting the nvram it could also be bad capacitors have you checked the motherboard

it was the ram.

for some reason one of the ram doesn't work in 3 of the slots. and the other ram works in all the slots.
