We got ours delivered yesterday. Anyone know where you can get a manual for it? Odd that they didn't have one in the box... I was a bit worried reading some reviews on here but we're satisfied. We had the chance for the 60" at Walmart on Black Friday but we weren't willing to sit in line for 2 1/2 hours to get one... I spilled the beans to DH that I had already ordered one for him and he was thrilled! It is massive on our living room wall... people look lifesize on it.. lol. The picture is great and so is the sound. The only issue we have had is the recorded programs from our DVR seem to skip and get out of sync with the sound. Only on certain ones so maybe it's those channels??? Thanks for the great deal! Made everyone we know real jealous

The picture was ok, but I returned the TV. After some research, it's a rebadged Westinghouse, which turned me off.

I just set this Sharp 60" LDC up and have it running right next to the Samsung 55" LED also from BF... I'm wondering if I'm missing something here but the picture on the Sharp LCD just looks muddier overall with less contrast, but at the same time the highlights are blown out and the blacks aren't very deep. I tried default modes as well as the recommended settings above, and tweaking it myself but its still pretty far off.
I have the Sharp 60" running directly off of my Uverse HD cable box through Component cables to the TV, and I have the Samsung 55" LED running off of an HDMI cable from my receiver. These signals should be just about even, correct? Just wondering if I'm missing something, I didn't expect the difference to be so big here. I am a professional photographer and editor so I understand color, contrast, saturation, etc. etc. but at the same time I don't think I'm overly picky when it comes to my TV so I expected to like both of these, but so far the Sharp is unacceptable to me. If I need to change something or confirm any details on setup when comparing the two please let me know1 |

Why not try them both on HDMI - I dont think component vs HDMI is a fair comparison |

The default sound settings are terrible, and the equalizer settings must be adjusted to get rid of the tinny sounding audio. The remote control is abysmal, compared to Sony or Samsung remotes. Has anyone been able to get the input select working with the XBOX remote or other universal remotes? Clicking the input button more than once does not switch to the next input. Using the OEM remote, you actually have to click up and down to select the input, which does not work on the XBOX remote. Last edited by chener; 12-07-2012 at 08:33 AM.. |
