nice shavers. I used a braun like this for a decade, only gave it up in the last year once I tried a Schick Hydro 5 razor on a whim along with shaving soap and a badger brush.

Probably a dumb question, but do any of these have changeable batteries?

I went electric a couple years ago with a Panasonic. It was great, nice close shave, didnt need shaving cream, etc. But after 2 years the internal battery is on the fritz and it cant be replaced. 80.00 shaver now pretty much wasted (Panasonic says I can send it in for repair but I have a feeling that will cost more than a new one)

If this Braun will die a 2 yr death as well and isnt easily fixed (by myself), is it worth the 139?

I've had my braun for about 7 years now and still works fine. Only reason I bought this one is it seems like a very good deal and I feel its time for an upgrade.

I doubt the 'repair' would be viable - so , iam guessing if you were to actually get only 2 years then you end up spending $5+ per month for the razor (at this price),which is not too far off some of the fair quality regular razor systems one would use otherwise.If you get more,which they claim you should, then its bonus
