Too much paid $193 after tax for my i7 4770k after PM'd to staples and used $20 off coupon
I have a Microcenter near me so all is well. I didn't factor in the Mobo Bundle discount where I added the cheapest mobo (Retail $70) for only $15 where I sold for $40, got the Final Fantasy XIV digital code (2 by cashier error) and sold each for $15.
$232 - Receipt Total including tax for i7 4770k mobo bundle
- $40 mobo
- $15 FFXIV code
- $15 FFXIV code
- $5 i7 stock fan
If by chance MC does this again, I learned from purchasing 2 AMD Phenom mobo bundles where the advertised bundles are not fixed. They have it where "Approved" processor is in cart leads to adjusted discount to any motherboard. (total discount varies though)
could you please let me know where you purchased all the above components from? ty
I'm on my phone so won't be able to hotlink in time but they are either FP or top popular searches

May as well start with the power supply. A quick swap and you'll know if that's the problem or not. They're cheap enough that you should keep a spare of some kind on the shelf for just such an occasion.
Random shut downs or restarts are most often due to a power situation.
1) Probably power supply
2) check that RAM is good and seated properly in clean slots
3) could be bad (bulging) capacitors on mother board
What do you guys think of going to MC and picking up an 8320 for 99, with free mATX board included, and then springing for the R9 280X for 299, plus 50 bucks on ram.
Will my current Antec Sonata 500W PS play nice with the R9? Is that just too much videocard for that little board.
$450 plus tax to upgrade the guts of my aging E8400+GTX260 seems fair.. I already bought BF4 for 20 bux you guys but I can't play it
Bumping for quick justice.. nobody has any input? MC closes at 10pm and I'm in the after-traffic hours now. Gotta leave soon... ahhhh, is this a good deal/saving me money? Should I just wait it out for better combo deals and a cheaper videocard? That 7950 deal has me kicking myself that I missed it on BF
Good luck. I saw a GTX 660 for about $200 on Newegg the other day.
Yeah I'm waiting for the 10% off, I couldn't purchase in time with the 10% FB promo and figured they would release 10% instead of another 5% for CM. I also need to get a liquid cpu cooler cause the Zalman isn't go to fit.
