What do you usually do if you can't send them in time? Either return it or sell yourself? Just thinking from the perspective of having to pay for return shipping with some merchants, etc.

Hello, I hope you are doing well.

Disclaimer: This deal isn't for everyone, so I expect some negative responses. Personally, trading in games and movies allow me to pay for my Amazon Prime every year (I make several hundred dollars annually through easy trade-ins).

1) Lie to Me, Season 2 is currently $10.49 for each copy. Buy 2 copies for $20.98. Amazon Prime or FSSS is needed. (Link [amazon.com])

2) The same product has a trade-in amount of $18.85 for each copy. Trading in 2 copies will get you $37.70. (Note that 2 copies of the same product is the maximum you can trade in per Amazon account.)

3) When your product arrives, open up the package, remove the order slip, place the trade-in document into the package, remove the original shipping label, affix the pre-paid label, seal up the package, then ship out the package free of charge.

Result: $37.70 - $20.98 = $16.72, which is your profit.


Notes:
-Trade-in values drop quickly, especially now that I've posted this. Always lock in the trade-in value before purchasing the product, just to be safe.
-The trade-in value will apply to your Amazon account as a gift card balance. You cannot remove the gift card from the account to which it was applied.
-You only have a certain amount of time to send in the product. However, my personal experience - which has been confirmed by multiple SD members and one Amazon representative to whom I've spoken - shows that Amazon's unwritten policy is that as long as the product arrives within 30 days, you should be fine. Of course, this policy may change without notice.

I just had a question for you guys. I have a whole bunch of DVDs that I want to trade in. I've never done this before. Where do you get the packaging to ship them? Is it one dvd per shipment or do you ship them all together in one bundle.

And also, for postage, do you guys just bring it to the post office and have them stamp each package?

My delivery date is Dec 5-12. Do you think my trade in value will change by then in your experience? I read the disclaimer that you're not sure and it's usually 30 days, but I thought I'd ask. Also, is there anything you need to do to "lock in" the trade in value other than add it to your trade in list?

It's time to reveal my trade secret (it's not really a secret... haha). I know that other people do trade-in deals, but I have my own methods. I hope this doesn't anger any of those people, though I'm sure they have much better methods than what I do, with automated tools and whatnot. As I originally stated, my initial goal wasn't to make a load of money, but enough to at least pay off my Amazon Prime every year.

I don’t usually go around looking for items to purchase and trade-in, as I often think about whether something like this is worth my time. I do not actively search for trade-in deals because I consider that a waste of time.

I come across these deals when someone posts a good DVD, Blu-ray, or video game sale. For example, someone posted DVDs and Blu-rays on sale at FoxConnect.com through a SD thread (http://slickdeals.net/f/5533272-P...als-Inside). I looked through some of those titles, and saw that I could make money by purchasing many of them on FoxConnect and trading them to Amazon. In fact, I locked in nearly 30 titles; each will make me $5 to $9, but their values have since dropped. Yes, that is correct: I’ll be making over $200 through trades in just one day.

And yes, this is a hint at other money-making deals.
