I simply tire of reading whiners when a deal goes bad. I understand to a degree with this one, but I found the postings of legal action as annoying as you find my posts. It's funny to see how quickly people become instant lawyers when they are burned by a deal.

Also interesting how quickly PGA disappeared.

On a related note, in NY, it looks like a Benelli MR1 Comfortgrip will be the closest to an AR that I will get.

FWIW, I have been able to acquire 2 AR-15s since the supply has virtually dried up...both at retail price and not being gouged. I may sell one at a nice profit to somewhat come close to the Troy deal.

Also, I sometimes wonder if PGA was a plant by Dick's. It'd have been a predictable move by them considering they have no class.

FYI, for those that did get the rifle and send in their reg form to get t-shirt and bottom plate for grip, I sent mine the day or two after Thanksgiving, and just received them today. The black t-shirt just says Troy Defense over the logo over the left breast, and the back is blank. The grip plate take about 1 min to install with a 5.56 rd to push in the retaining pin (which ain't going anywhere once in there without using a punch).

Yeah I got my shirt in the other day, but there wasn't a grip plate in mine

Just to pass on an update I saw on the troy Facebook site, apparently they (troy) are going to announce a new retail partnership in the next couple of days.

I just walked into the store today and asked if they could cash it out.

Lady: Sure. How much is on it?
Me: $100
Lady: Oh, we can only do it if it's less than $5.
Me: Oh, well, I called the number on the back of the gift card and they said they could send me a check, or I could just stop by a store and have a manager cash it out for me.
Lady: Checked with her manager. He said yes.

And I walked out the door with a $100 bill 5 minutes later.
