That's fine, you do not have to participate. The reason why I'm the middle-man is because my counsel doesn't have the time to deal with large number of people calling them over the same thing.
Just provide the name of your legal counsel. Is it that hard?

I just talked with Troy also, they told me they are currently in talks with Dicks about the problem and are trying to figure out whether they are going to continue business with them or not. They stated it was not a manufacturing problem. They said Troy is going to try to rectify the situation and will release a statement at a later date. I also called Dicks corporate, they said it was manufacturing problem on Troys end. My guess is that there was a supply problem, but Troy missed a contract deadline of 30 days after order. Than Dicks had the right to back out of contract and screw all their customers. I was called on Thursday and told by Dicks that I would receive my rifle as soon as it was received.

First tidbit

Just talked to my contact at Troy this morning.

It is definitely a over and done deal.
Troy is continuing to build rifles and working on an outlet for sales.
Anyone interested should watch this site along with the other social media avenues (ie. Facebook, Twitter etc.)
Troy is very unhappy with their treatment by DSG but will be moving forward.

It will probably take till the SHOT show before an announcement is made. Possibly sooner but probably not.

Good luck to all of you out there who, like me, are now on the hunt for another rifle.

Second tidbit (Again, once you cash this, forget all legal avenues as you've been made whole. )

To get your cash back off the DSG card you have to call 877-417-1324.
Enter all your info and there will be an option for them to mail you a check on 7-10 business days.

I wonder if that also works for their gift certificates you get for using their CC. The 2013 SHOT show is January 15th to 18th in Las Vegas

Did you do the check thing or are you holding out to see what happens with this legal thing?

I'm definitely not cashing anytime soon as there are legal steps taken and it appears that maybe Dicks and Troy are talking about a possible resolution and Troy is also looking for another distribution channel.

The only reason I posted how to cash out the card is that I've seen people asking about how to do that. I can understand people who already have an or multiple) AR's may want to go that route as they are not sitting on $600 worth of AR accessories without a rifle to go with.

It's a pity Troy is not setup for direct delivery via an FFL. I'd buy one that route.

I've sunk low enough to even consider an Anderson stripped lower but definitely will never go for a composite one.

Adding insult to injury. Some one on the dicks face book page is posting dicks has a new rule that they will only sell ammunition to US citizens and they apparently ask if you are a citizen. Amazing, as the State of Florida allows resident aliens to have a CCW and purchase firearms, yet those dicks would not sell them ammunition?

State police are not allowed to determine your immigration status but the Dick's employee at the register can? I don't think so.

I'm not cashing my check or the gift card unless I find out that there isn't any legal recourse either. Mad

Troy Industries
Troy Defense (Troy), a division a Troy Industries, Inc., was deeply dismayed and shocked to hear through national media outlets that Dick’s Sporting Goods (DSG) made the decision to stop selling the Troy Carbine along with other modern sporting rifles. DSG did not contact or inform Troy of this decision prior to notifying the public. Nor was Troy informed by DSG that cancellation letters were being sent to customers, set to arrive on Christmas Eve (a day Troy was closed).

Troy has invested millions of dollars in its facility and operations to bring its first ever modern sporting rifle to the market under an exclusive contract with DSG. In selecting DSG as the sole distributor of the Troy Carbine, Troy relied on DSG’s high sales forecasts and sales potential prior to undertaking the significant financial and corporate commitment necessary to design, develop, manufacture and bring a new modern sporting rifle to the marketplace. Based on DSG’s press release, DSG’s anti-gun stance is clear – DSG will not continue modern sporting rifle sales and Troy will sadly not see its Carbine readily available — despite the outlay of millions of dollars by Troy and its commitment to support DSG in its distribution efforts.

Troy is currently researching other channels to ensure continuous and consistent distribution for its rifles. But please note, Troy’s pricing to DSG was based upon volume sales. It is unlikely that pricing to any other outlet in the future will support the pricing granted to DSG. Troy understands the anger of certain DSG customers whose purchases have been cancelled – you got a great price from DSG. However, Troy, itself, cannot come anywhere close to offering the Carbine at the price DSG was offering it. DSG devalued and diluted Troy’s brand when it offered for sale the Carbine at a steeply discounted price during Thanksgiving week. As a result of the sale price set by DSG, DSG oversold and overpromised its inventory. Nonetheless, the current ill-will could have been avoided had DSG not terminated modern sporting rifle sales, promptly canceled overpromised orders, and forthrightly communicated with Troy.

Troy is hopeful that it will soon identify a new distribution channel for its Carbine. We ask for your patience and support during this difficult and transitory time.

WOW! is all I have to say to that. I'm surprised if Troy isn't pursuing legal action against DSG. That's shameful. What cowards DSG are.

Ouch! DSG not only pissed us off it seems. It's also pissed off Troy.

The good news seems to be that Troy is looking for other distributors. The bad new is I fear the carbine will be more expensive. I'm hoping will pick a channel we in Florida can purchase from.

Wow. I wonder what kind of contract they had with DSG, because it sounds like DSG probably broke it with them via their press release and left Troy sitting with no distro channel.

Dreamerrrr... Wink

I'd guess these will be $1100-1300 at the next retailer and be forbidden from being set on any promotion for some time.
