this was from a review on newegg. i just got the router in the mail today, so haven't tried it yet.

Use the routers web interface. Flash factory-to-ddwrt first. Then rosewill-rnx-150rt-webflash second.

There's a newer DD-WRT for this. I'm not sure if it's better, but it's newer.

I have used DD-WRT on this and many other routers. I can't for the life of me actually get N speeds from it. It always connects at G speeds (54mbps or less), no matter what I configure the wireless settings for, or what N device I connect with, or what other devices are on the network. That said, it generally works pretty good aside from that. Not quite as much range or stability as the WRT54GL.

now they removed the limit.. I had to make 2 orders for no reason.. wtf..

and they killed my 2nd order from the same account, so I had to create a new account.. and now the limit is 5..

is this good for dedicated AP?

Tried to find some specific instructions with no luck. Were you able to find some good instructions? Last time I tried to flash without specific instructions, I bricked a router...

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

from what i have read the factory-ddwrt is used if you have stock firmware. The second one is used when upgrading from a previous version of ddwrt. hope this helps. please note that the last post linking the firmware for it IS IN BETA TESTING.

dont use the beta testing if you dont have a clue what you are doing.

Bought it last week, got it and now I can't get DD-WRT on it. Anyone else have this problem? When I try to flash it through the stock GUI I get this error. This is the same no matter what file I try to use.

Error code: 18005
Upgrade unsuccessfully because the version of the upgraded file was incorrect. Please check the file name.

I used the factory-to-ddwrt.bin file from Rosewill's webgui, now I've bricked my router. Followed all instructions I could find (30/30/30 reset before and after, use a cable not wireless, etc). Lights come on, but cant ping or telnet to 192.168.1.1.
