Hmm, looks like this outperforms the DC 41 on very tall rugs (only). Probably going to hold out for one of those at this price!

Just checked Amazon and they don't even have the $389 DC28 on the site anymore.

I got my info from consumer reports. The DC28 ranks higher than the DC41 overall. The ball technology kinda sucks, if you ask me. It's so hard to maneuver. The DC28 used to be a $649 machine back in its hey day. For this price, it would be silly not to buy one!

Just picked one up! I had a hard time passing up the DC24 for $300 a couple days ago but this seems to be a pretty good deal. I wasn't too excited about the quality reviews of the newer dysons-
