I would give a little warning on the Gunstringer. There is some mature humor in it. There is a boss who is kind of an Alligator Man, and it is very strongly implied that he was created via the "sweet love" between a lonely man and a lady crocodile, or something like that.

get Spelunky! it is fun and this is the first time it had a price cut. try the demo if you are not sure.

it is a rhythm action game. i guess people either love it or hate it. the graphics is a bit crude by today's standard but i think it should be fun for at least the first play through. it has replay value, has collectibles and a lot of secrets like a typical japanese retro game.
and yeah MJ is in it as well, with his real voice

If you already have Rock Band 3 is there any point in getting Rock Band Blitz?

Rock Band Blitz comes with 25 songs not available in Rock Band 3. The songs are only available with Rock Band Blitz. So, I think the best thing to do would be to look at the songs and see if you think the 25 they chose are worth 600 MSP to you. Given that songs typically go for 160 MSP, if you find more than 4 that you're interested in, you're saving money over what the songs would cost individually (which again, they are not sold that way currently).

I tried the Space Channel 5 Part 2 demo on the Xbox 360 and liked it. I was able to do very well matching moves with almost none missed. Then I saw it was cheaper on PSN so I bought it on the PS3 instead. As usual there was no PS3 demo available. No matter how hard I try I miss most of the moves even when I do them right. I spent a good 30 minutes searching the Internet to see if there's a problem in the PS3 version and found nothing.

Does anyone know if the PS3 version has a bug, tighter (or should I say near impossible) timing windows, or is there some secret to playing the PS3 version? I'm afraid my $2.99 for the PS3 version may be wasted and I'll have spend the 400 points for the X360 version because the PS3 one is unplayable.
