Can I go to a store, buy the product today and ask if they can pricematch on black friday?

I imagine for most stores this would be up to the management's discretion. It doesn't hurt to ask beforehand if you could do it. I've worked retail jobs where you pretty much got anything you asked for if you complained enough...

If you do return it and quantities are limited, don't be surprised if they aren't quick to let you buy it right back.

Most stores have a policy in place that prevents that.

Target, bestbuy, walmart all the big box stores.

why could you not ask? i mean will the police be called if you asked? I think stores usually have workers there to ask, sheesh even online stores have chat so you can ask questions.

officemax is super picky about that stuff.. even not on BF

Typically stores shut down their customer service desks so as to be able to utilize their employees in JUST managing the registers and guiding customers to the products they're looking for (since most are relatively honed in on what it is they want prior to entering the store). I know TRU does not have their service desk open black Friday - therefore you can ask all you want, but no one will be there to really help you.

Does office max usually have a big line on black friday or are most people going to best buy and walmart?

So Walmart won't let this happen? I've been on hold for 15 minutes because none of the employees can answer this very same question...

All I want is a $15 video game .

I just need to know if anyone has had success doing this? Im going to ask in person anyways.

I was told this was okay at Toys R Us. At my local one the only register that seems to ever be open is the customer service one. I figure if I go in on Friday afternoon it should *hopefully* not be too crowded. The product I wanted had only ever had been in stock at that location twice since being released and there was only one left on the shelf the other day so I asked. If the situation arises and I can't get the difference refunded, I'll just return it later. It's not a life or death situation in my case, just something I wanted lol!

Good Luck with that idea at any national retailer !! Worked at several of them for multiple BF, not allowed. If you return it, you can try hanging out in dept when they go get their returns. Customer Service not allowed to let you repurchase it there ( or everyone would be trying it). Stores usually even have their security keeping an extra eye on c.s. people so they don't grab items for themselves that are returned.

last year everyone did that with target - not sure how they plan to do things this year though
