For this amount of $$$$. One is much better off investing in an excellent mid-level projector.

Perfect, now to break out the Betamax, Lasserdisc, and S-VHS.

3 of these and I could build an extension to our house. Perhaps a small bathroom? I could use a 4th one as the roof panel. A fully immersive 3D world in my bathroom... almost a holodeck...hmmm...the possibilities boggle the mind...

DLP RULES!!!! cough Fanboy. sorry but i am. Alot of people give wrong information.

You want the real reason DLP isnt out there......the real reason.....its not a secret... the CEO of Samsung stated it.. before the 2010 model year

You cant make DLP tech into a flat TV, it has to be projected some how to work. Market was going thinner, thinner, I WANT THINNER even though less than 8% percent actually mount their flat tv on a wall. That is why it "failed" and not in the (LCD, Plasma) debates. Not because it is inferior. Bulb replacement is a bother yes...but it was fixed with later technology.
Samsung got out of DLP sets in 2009 right after it had its LED (non Bulb) DLP. Where you replace LED bezel every 11 years with average use (5 hours a day). And it was a UNGODLY 11 inches thick. and 75 lbs. GASP. and another bonus... no other tech can state . It doesnt fade over time I'm on year 3 of 11 and it looks as bright as it did day one and will up until year 11.
My HL67A750 is an amazing performing set, cnet rated top ten EVER feature. and only 1 of 2 series of tv that got this tech, the 650 and 750.
If Samsung would have kept producing past the "Thin as Paper" craze who knows where the tech would be now.

Mitsubishi is the last remaining company for the past 3 years making these DLP's alone. Sadly their R&D is not as good as some other top companies, they could solve some often over-exaggerated problems such as viewing angles. Its hard to push the technology when no one is in the rear view mirror.
My hope is Samsung and others get back into DLP sets, it rules the movie theaters and projectors market. and the viewing experience, when correctly calibrated can't be beat.
END RANT

They are killing me, First I get the 73 then up grade to the 82 now they have a 92....sheesh. Pretty happy with the 82 in the Great room and 73 in the Master bedroom though.

All I can think of is playing Call of Duty on this thing from about 12 feet away with surround sound and the sub turned up extra high... glorious.

Cant understand the DLP inches race getting bigger than dic* inch race.
Beside that who uses DLP when all you can do is watch it by sitting in front of the TV without moving 10 degrees here and there.
Its like same thing is putting privacy screen on Monitor..
What is amazing is how so many take time of their life to come knock a TV they are to cool to own. I dont get it. I have never gone to an LCD thread and told them they pay too much for lesser quality picture just so they can dump more money into a bracket and mount it to a wall. Then check it once a week make sure it isnt coming loose.
It has got to be TVenis envy

So advertising brainwashed you to believe you need a cool new wall mount LCD!
Whats yer point?
That you cant make yer own decisions. Likely a Fox news viewer.
How does Hannity look on yer LCD?

FYI, you don't need a really wide stand. I used my old stand that is more narrow than my 82 inch DLP, but I simply put my speakers on either side and it looks pretty good actually.

If I hadn't just fixed my 65" Toshiba DLP, I'd jump on this. For what it's worth, I think user repairability is one of DLP's greatest assets. This afternoon I replaced the DLP chip in mine to cure an annoying white dot problem and replaced my burnt out bulb. I ought to get another 2.5 to 3 years out of this bulb and I expect the replacement chip to last the life of the TV.

Get them from Mitsubishi. One replacement will do just in case lamp went out.

don't skimp on the bulb... it's one of the pieces that the aftermarket units are NOT equal.
