You should tip the delivery guys for this one. One case of beer and a pizza for first room and up a maximum 5 steps. Every five steps up or down you tip them an additional case and half a pizza.

Awesome deal! I love my 82 inch mitz dlp. Playing MW3 and now Black Ops 2... Man nothing can compare! And the 3D is better than the theater!!!

Before you order!!!!!.... Make sure this thing will pass around any bends in a stairway or hallway, etc. Taking my 82 downstairs was fun!!! We had to remove it from the box and essentially stand it on end to make the corner... HERNIA city!!!

would 1080p even look good on that size of a screen
If you are in the group of people that scorn 720p 50" tv's, then this tv would be even worse.

I use this TV Stand:
http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog...#/20105341

I can confirm it can hold the 92" Mitsubishi despite specs saying it's for "143lb" and this TV being "233lb" (Perhaps because all the weight isn't in the very middle)

I use 2 of the IKEA TV stands with my Mitsubishi, it looks fantastic, I'm too lazy to get a pic, but if you really want me to I will.

But I've owned just about every size Mitsubishi DLP, and the great thing is these things get cheap, and if you get them on sale they get even cheaper, and the resale value is really good as well.

How many stands do you need for the 73" model? I've seen that on sale for around $800 i think, what's a good price that i should pull the trigger? I think the 80+" one it too much at $1400 or so right? Why did you choose to put it on a stand instead of on the wall? I'm considering a projector as this is for my garage but this would save me a lot of hassle. 120" screen sounds pretty awesome though

I SOOO want this TV..... it makes my poor old 65" Toshiba look so tiny!!!

The 92" might be a tad big for my living room though -- 84" might do (though the piers on my entertainment center won't go any further apart without work).

To those commenting on weight/power/etc on this beastie...

The weight of the TV itself is only 186# (230# shipping weight including the packaging & box).
For a TV this size, that is not very heavy -- two people can move it without too much effort.
The Sharp Aquos 90" LED weighs in at 150# -- so it's a bit lighter, but not by a lot.

The power consumption on DLP's is amazingly low compared to just about everything but very small LED TV's.

The Mitsubishi 92" DLP uses 213W of power.
The Sharp Aquos 90" LED uses 381W of power (almost 2x as much).
And the power usage of even mid-size plasma TV's is off the chart.

At this size, 1080p is kind of a low resolution.

"How many stands do you need for the 73" model?"
For the 73" TV, you really only need 1 of the IKEA stands, it almost fits PERFECTLY... The width of the 73" is 65", the width of the IKEA stand is 60", so you have the TV going about 2" on each side, which is pretty impressive since the IKEA stand is pretty wide itself!

The reason I choose 2 stands for mine is simply because I have tall speakers, and they look good on the sides of the TV, especially with 2 stands connected/next to each other

"what's a good price on the 73" that i should pull the trigger?"
I've yet to see a better price then $700 since last black friday for the 73", I've seen them go for $800-$900 a few times... so I would say $700 is a steal, $800 is pretty good, and $900 is not that great.

"I think the 80+" one it too much at $1400 or so right?"
$1400 for the 80" was the best deal I've seen, but I wouldn't say it's a 'slick' deal. They average $1600, so $200 cheaper is good, but to me $1,200-$1,300 is amazing

"Why did you choose to put it on a stand instead of on the wall?"
You can't put these TV's on a wall Stick Out Tongue

"I'm considering a projector as this is for my garage but this would save me a lot of hassle. 120" screen sounds pretty awesome though"

I have also considered a projector (best one I've found for me is the Mitsubishi DLP Projector HC4000) at $1200~ (1200p resolution too!). The reason I've chosen not to go with a projector is simply due my setup. I watch a lot of TV with lights on (Need lights to eat, or sometimes I play SingStar/Rock Band and need lights, etc)... the DLP is perfect for daytime viewing, I never have issues, but with a projector, it wouldn't look that good (I have lots of windows around)... Plus I'd need to get a white screen, mount it, wire things in the wall, etc... just a lot of hassle and I'm real lazy

This is a DLP TV -- it CANNOT be wall mounted. It is NOT a flat panel.
It is a slim rear projection micro-mirror based device.

The ONLY way to wall mount this would be to cut a hole in the wall and then insert it into it (i.e. basically build the wall around it).

The depth of this unit from front to rear is 25" (i.e. just a hair over 2 feet).
