at that price ..please even the i5 that are in the mid 400 range with this coupon did not have backlit keyboards.
Just remember that the pent. is an old processor. I purchases for not much more a 3rd generation i5.
The tech guy said he would accept the printed version but the manager told the cashier not to, luckily there was a gentleman there that had the newspaper ad which he used and the tech guy gave me the newspaper after. I got the Lenovo Ideapad Z580 521.99 OTD.
I purchased same puter tonight it was 479. plus tax 501 OTD it was this or toshbia which was 499 plus tax, but had the 49 dollar rebate. They did not have toshibia on the floor and was told by people that Lenovo is a better laptop.
Did they try to sell you the 95 dollar set up, said that to set up windows 8 is impossible.. tech said he took 12 hour course ,,just took it home still in box
Thanks OP. Got this $322 in central FL after tax and easy rebate this morning. Clerk had his own print out of the coupon and did not even scan mine, he was aware of the coupon. Is there a third party rebate I saw up above? How easy are the "easy rebates" from staples to get? Does anyone think there will be a comparable deal as easy to get as this during BF?
Got mine yesterday and submitted it. It went fast and easy for the rebate at staples.
I picked one up last night. Arrived at the store about 30 minutes before closing. I was able to inspect a display model before purchasing. The store had plenty in stock.
I did have a little trouble getting them to accept the coupon because the email coupon I printed out was missing the coupon code number and the bar code would not scan. While I was using my phone to look up the code, a manager came over, said she had one, and gave the cashier the code. In fact, she bought the same computer for herself (store had just closed when I was checking out and I was the last customer).
I am a little concerned about having Windows 8, but with a 14 day no-hassle return policy I can try it out and return it if I don't like it.
Final price will be $327 after $50 rebate. I am not as tech savvy as many other SDers, but judging from what I have seen, this seems like an excellent value for a solid machine. I've also had a good experience with Toshiba - my last one got me through 3 years of graduate school with heavy use without any problems.
Is this deal still available today? I bought the $290 Walmart Acer a couple of weeks ago, but there's a serious fan problem, so I'm going to have to return it again (this time, for good). I need a good $300 laptop as a replacement. If not this deal, what else might be comparable? Thanks for your expertise!
