If your code is accepted, is showing up in your special offers, BUT does not apply at checkout, you may need a minimum of $20 (excluding shipping).
If the code won't apply, it may be defaulting to another code (especially if you're ordered a book and have a book code you dont want to use yet that may have a better expiry date). At the bottom of the checkout page, opt to view your offers. Uncheck the code that it's defaulting to, hit recalculate to un-gray your other codes. Then check the code you want to use (both the box and circle) and hit recalculate again. It should let you then pick the $20 code.
According to an online chat with customer service, they said "I would like to inform you that the promotion "TARGETCARDS" is for new customers who have never placed order before." This may be why it's not working for some.

Don't see anyplace to enter the code without ordering something. Was hoping I could enter the code and come back later and figure out what to get but don't see anyway to do that.
