Playstation Plus + Sony Music Unlimited (one year) $62

If you purchase Playstation Plus right now for $49.99 you can get Sony Music Unlimited for $12 for the year. It's normally $10/month, so you're basically get PS Plus + Music Unlimited for half the cost of what JUST Music Unlimited costs normally.

It has to be signed up for on a PS3 though, I tried to do the signup on the website and it made everything wonky, but when I called they said it was due to maintenance.

So basically go to the Playstation Store on your PS3 and buy Playstation Plus first for the $49.99, then when you navigate to Music Unlimited it should have the Plus symbol next to it and $12.99.

This works on mobile operating systems too, like Spotify. The app isn't as polished but $12 year is better than $10 a month, and even if you're not going to use the playstation plus you're still only paying about $5/month for both.

Yeah that's what I was thinking too, and also the music unlimited is 50% off for anyone so if they don't have a PS3 they can still get it at this price they just won't get Playstation Plus. It's at that price rate on the website and they can still listen to it on their phone (which is why I want it)

I just renewed for 3 months ago I should still be able to get a year of music for $12. You could get a year of Music Unlimited for $30 with a 3 month PS Plus subscription.

Can someone explain Playstation Plus to me? I just bought this deal but I'll hold off on telling everyone until Christmas (if they don't notice). I just want to make sure I downloaded all the free games for this month. I looked at their site: http://us.playstation.com/psn/playstation-plus/ The only two freebies I saw were Dungeon Defenders and Sonic. Are they showing all the free games they offered all year?

If you don't renew, any free games you downloaded will not work unless you either buy the game, or buy another PS + sub.

The free games are usually available for a month so even if a game was free last year, it probably won't be in the current list, but sometimes they cycle to being free again.

Right, I think it's important to be really explicit about saying that even if your ps plus subscription lapses, you can regain the access to all of the games you gained access to through ps plus by becoming a subscriber once again. That is, you don't have to start all over again if your subscription lapses.

I already have Plus, so I picked up Music Unlimited. Hopefully they are having a "rush" of new users and it's putting a strain on their servers..... if not, it's not worth $0. On the PS3, I have to repeatedly open the Music Unlimited app just to not get "A connection to the server could not be established" error. On the website, signing in is slow and usually takes 2 or 3 attempts. Once I'm signed in, I can listen to a few songs before I get "The server sent an unrecognized response. Please try again later.".I have no problems with my internet connection on the PS3 or my PC other than with Music Unlimited.

good looking out with that info, i also have plus already and was thinking of picking up music unlimited. after your comments though, i decided to actually look up some reviews of the service, and found this part to be troubling...

There are definitely services with higher bitrates. But also higher monthly costs than this deal. If I were sticking with a streaming service I'd more than likely I'd switch over to one of those, such as Spotify, once the $12 deal expired. For a mere $1 a month though I don't think there's much to lose. The quality of the audio isn't that bad for the casual listener streaming on a portable device or even their computer. If one is a serious audiophile I don't think I'd recommend Music Unlimited at this point.I believe there is a 30 day free trial available as well so one could always try that out first to get a feel for the service before committing to a year.

I haven't noticed any connection issues lately.
