Samsung 830 Series 256GB 2.5" SATA III Solid State Drive (SSD) for $170

I went ahead and pulled the trigger. After looking at all the benchmarks comparing this to the new Intel 335 and the Samsung 840, its just plain faster. I was scared if i wait to long i wont be abe to find this drive anywhere at a reasonable price.

Damn-really wanted one. Guess I'm gonna get the $99 180GB intel instead...

The 840 is so much cheaper for the retailer to buy from Samsung. It's already going for $160 range. I'm sure you'll see it in the $130 range within a few months. It's a nearly worthless drive for anyone that has moderate use on their computer. It uses the cheapest flash chips there are. The longevity of the 830 and 840pro is estimated at 1000x longer (one thousand times).

The 840 is bare minimum for simple consumers. It is however a small bit faster at some things...

So basically, you didn't tell us anything useful expect some vague BS.
