warning: i bought a refurbished version of this and it SUCKED, the range is ridiculously low. so i went on amazon and bought one of these [amazon.com]for $30

If this is like the ae1000 be warned:

There is no way to select the frequency if an SSID has the same name on both 2.4ghz and 5ghz.

Phrased another way: You cannot manually select the 5ghz band SSID if there is already a 2.4ghz SSID of the same name. Since many corporate environments have their networks setup in this way, this may be a big deal to some.

Used to connect a non wireless computer to a wireless router. I use one of these for getting internet to computers I am fixing that do not have wireless. It is super fast and works great. My only gripe is that the drivers are not integrated into any Windows OS including 7 so you must install the drivers from the CD that comes with the adapter in order to use it, other than that it is a great deal at $10 and a steal at only $3AR.

According to the warranty terms...

"8. CANCELLATION AND REFUND. You may cancel this Contract at any time for any
reason. If You cancel this Contract within sixty (60) days of the date purchased You will receive
a refund of the full purchase price less any claims."

I'm thinking I'll just test it out a bit and apply for the $6.99 refund. That would make this better than FAR by a few bucks.
