Just thought I would let the early buyers know of my situation. I bought it for $5 after rebate and I chatted to get the $5 price difference back. They repeatedly made up excuses. First it was that they weren't price matching black friday or cyber monday deals. Second they said that it wasn't elegible because it didn't have the iron egg guarantee (it did). Third they just flat out said they wouldn't do the refund. Frickin ridiculous.

Beware of terrible customer service at Newegg. They flat out ignore their own policies.

No dice on getting the $5 refund via live chat:

"At this time, we are not price matching any previously placed orders with our special promotional prices. This is a special promotion and you must take advantage of the offers when they are available online."

Thats just their policy. You people should know that by now anyways. Newegg does not pricematch price changes. Only if it has the iron egg guarantee do they honor that(or supposed to). You are right though, it has iron egg guarantee which means they are supposed to pricematch.

Ive had to do that before for a price difference and they wouldnt do it.

It happens, just have to deal with it. Its only $5 at least.

Id honestly try again another day to talk to someone else. Make sure you tell them it has iron egg guarantee(did it have that when you purchased or was that added later when they lowered the price?, that makes a difference).

Arrived and installed, perfect timing because my PS3 3D Display Bundle arrived today as well and my rig did not previously have HDMI, now it does. Happy, happy.
