Have a question. I have a home built in 1980 and cannot find blinds or shutters that fit my windows. I have checked HD and Lowes and come up empty for the most part. Where should I look for blinds or shutters without spending a fortune on custom builds?

I want the aluminum ones, but from what I can discern from the specs, the length isn't adjustable (meaning I can't remove excess slats)....does anyone know differently?

@porksword, my house was built in 1960, and every friggin' room has different sizes of windows. They all have curtains or drapes, but I've been taking my time, bargain-hunting for blinds for most of them. HD has helped a lot, but the sizes I need only pop up now and again in their overstock sales.

they don't make any to your length? I thought HD will cut em to fit..assuming width and height?

Oh, not sure about in-store cutting...I thought that was only for width, though?

The other overstock blinds I've bought from HD this year (the two-inch, wood-look slats), all were adjustable length-wise; I just untied the cords, removed the slats I needed to, cut the cords, and retied them. That allowed me to buy blinds that were way too long, but just the right width, and make them fit. I was hoping to do the same with these.
