Alternative Warranty Company for Cowboom.com Used Item Purchases

Is there another company that covers items purchased used from Cowboom? I called SquareTrade and they said they don't warranty used or refurbished items. I've bought refurbished items in the past on EBay and SquareTrade did cover them in the past, but who knows if that changed or if it's only from certain merchants?

I chatted with Cowboom and they said if you don't buy the warranty at time of purchase you're out of luck.

I just got the item in the mail two days ago, but I figure I'm safer with a warranty the way the kids have been destroying laptops around here. I've already had to buy two laptop screens for two different laptops that are under a year old so I figure if I can get a warranty it will probably be worth it for me.

I also didn't get the CowBoom warranty because I didn't read one single positive review about CPS the company that provides their warranties. I thought SquareTrade would cover me (from reading earlier posts on here and other sites) and they've always honored their warranties for me.
