Doubt you'll be receiving this "rebate" - my last two rebates from Newegg were "delayed" (8 week time stated on rebate, been over 4 months, still haven't received them) despite sending certified mail with delivery confirmation, multiple phone calls to both the rebate company and Newegg, and BBB complaints. Take your money elsewhere.

I have done hundreds of rebates, so I have a little knowledge on the matter I think. The worst thing you can do is send the rebate certified. You are throwing away money. I have done multiple Canon $200 rebates and just sent them in a nice #10 security self-seal envelope (as is you can't hold it up to light and can't see what's inside) and then taped over the flap for good measure (just a small piece of tape). First Class Mail rarely gets lost...and having it certified would do you no good if it does.

As for "Newegg" rebates...this one is pre-submitted online so you get a tracking number up front. Yes, status-now (rebate processor) can be slow at times, but this is generally down to who is funding the rebate. As Newegg themselves are doing these rebates, I see getting paid in the time stated.

Cool dude good for you. Considering both rebates I sent were marked as delivered via delivery confirmation - AND confirmed received by the rebate company, I'm guessing you just must be a rebate genius. Throwing away money is counting on newegg to back their rebates - I understand they were not the company that fulfilled them, but they advertised the prices after rebate and basically told me "sorry, you're SOL" - they won't even look into the matter, much less refund me the rebate amount. Despite the terrible customer service, I could understand this happening once, but twice? If you like honest businesses, stay away from newegg
