If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

My dad called 7 plus times because of a billing issue and then he seen the deal for .99 and it just worked in his favor. And as far as the CS rep was talking, they DIDNT want to loose his business..

Only keep calling 7+ times if you don't value your account. Sprint has terminated service of people who call them too many times with issues.

This is active now, you have to call 1888-273-9460 .This is the retentions dept. and takes about 20 mins from start to finish. They are going to tell you they cant do it and they will only give us the 49.99 price. Just keep calling if they dont give you the price. My dad called and they said I see that you have called 7 times and your account is at risk (as in my dad was not being treated right, and he could potentially cancel the service ) what can we do. And he just said that he wanted the Sams club price match of .96, but Sprint does .99. She put him on hold a bit, but then it went thru. Good luck.

Guys This DOES work with current account eligible for upgrades too.

888-882-4030 for Everything Plus Plans. I called this number 2 times. The second time I asked to speak to their supervisor, the supervisor knew exactly what I was talking about and transfered me to Account Services. I made sure that the supervisor stayed on the line with me during the transfer. The Account Services rep was confused at first, but after she spoke to her supervisor everything was a go.

Works FINE for Sero-P Customers Smilie

SPHL710WTK = WHITE
SPHL710KTS = BLUE
***D710, SPHD710KIT SPHD710WTS SPHD710GYS = Galaxy SII not SIII

For SERO legacy, when you review your account after the purchase, do you see the plan change or would this be later after receiving the phone and activating it?

claw, I have a feeling its a done deal. Sprint would not even work with me, said it was $199 no exceptions.
However, I heard BB is having a 1 day sale this sunday on the sg3 for $49.99
I am probably well, hoping to pull the trigger on that.

Why are you paying $59 for the same 3g speed you get on SERO 500 $30, it is essentially a true unlimited everything plan with at least pick 1; unless of course you just wanted to use the newer phones.

I'm sure someone will let you know about that .99 S3 soon enoughWink
the reason why i dont mind paying 50 plus tax is that i've been on sero since 2007
and i had 25% on 30 dollar plan so since i got the s3 for .99 cent i will test it out.
if i dont like it i can always go back to(htc touch pro) sero for 30 as long you have a device that's compatible with the plan. Since im in nyc, im hopping 4g lte come out at the beginning of the year. i hear some people in the bronx already seeing 4g lte in certain spot.

The S3 is that price right now at Amazon Wireless. You can try to get them to price match it for you in store. I actually confirmed with two Best Buys over the phone that they'd price match, but when I was in the store we could go no further because I have a SERO plan and they can't touch my account with their systems. If you're not SERO, you have a good shot at it.

If only Verizon model was $49.99 lol. But $79.99 isn't bad either.

The Amazon S3 is back ordered until Jan 27th. I tried ordering and decided to look elsewhere.

It says ships within 1-2 weeks, but right before I placed my order my ship date was Jan 27.

Wow.. Really 1-27?!

It would be better to just wait for the S4 this spring and get a quad core phone. IMO

I have 3 lines on SERO and have upgraded two phones with two different Best Buy in the past. One was the Mira Loma, CA and the other was Costa Mesa, CA. Both times, they just called sprint up to make it go thru.

I was charged $50.07 on the date of purchase, which was said to include the $39.02 activation fee as well as all taxes. When my bill came, it showed the activation fee, $96.05 minus a $49 "phone discount" for the phone, and $25.38, $3.50, and $3.50 in federal, state, and city sales taxes. That is, $118.45 in charges and $50.07 in credit.

I had to argue for 2 hours transferring between several slow/clueless CSRs to obtain credits that nullified the other $68.38, to make the phone cost the amount that I had agreed to pay for.

Typical Sprint, you just gotta pray you get a CSR who knows their stuff. Your original charge of $50.07 looks it's just the 99 cent phone + CA taxes. You pay tax on the full price of the phone in CA, not the discount price you bought it for. Activation is $36 so it looks like you didn't have to pay it.

Thanks for the response. I do understand that I (probably) have to pay sales tax on the full price of the phone; however, I can't figure out how the exact amount of $50.07 came to be. So I had to take the salesrep's word for it - $50.07 "activation fees and taxes included." If telesales/retentions had sent a receipt disclaiming what exactly I had paid for (and thus what additional charges to expect), I probably would've been okay with the activation fee as an /additional/ charge, and wouldn't have been so hostile.

The phone is $549.99 full, but (after adding $0.99) it doesn't equate to $50.07 no matter which tax rate I use (8.25% and 8.375% around here.) It's more like 8.922%.
