I would cancel the order, but there is no way to cancel the order online.
I need this router now, not happy at all...!

I ordered on the 22nd, so of course I'm now on Backorder status. Really pissed that it took them almost a week to figure this out. I wouldn't trust any "it will ship next week" claims since they obviously didn't know the drop shippers stock in the first place.

Cancelled the order

When i click on the router from my order confirmation email, it sends me to the page that shows it as OOS.

When i open an incognito window from my browser and search Asus RT-N66U, it shows in stock.

Their internal item # is different, but obviously the model # is exactly the same.

Things keep getting stranger:

Earlier today (as I noted above) my status was Backordered. Fine, I ordered the same item from Amazon for $130 AR and planned to cancel this order later today. But now a few hours later the status is "Carrier Pickup - Your item(s) have been processed and delivered to the carrier for pickup. Please note: no changes or cancellations can be made at this point."

Either TD has no clue about what it has in stock or it is lying about the shipping status in order to prevent a mass cancellation of orders. Either way I'm now stuck waiting for this router. Whether I eventually get it or not I doubt I will be shopping with TD again.

Edit 4:10 PM: - Now the status is back to "Drop Shipper - Your order is being submitted to a third-party warehouse for fulfillment and delivery. Please allow 7-10 business days for processing and shipment." WTF?

I'm in the same boat. This is the forth and final order I place with them. I've had similar experiences with all my orders.

For any of you trying to contact them via on-line chat or by phone good luck.

I called TD about 2 hours ago and was actually able to get thru to someone in about 10 minutes. Inquired about the "back order status", the rep said they're expecting more shipments Dec 7-9. I told them the website already has the same router with '48 hour shipping' for $168. He said the shipping time is wrong and they'll change it. How do I argue with that....

Anyway, checked back 1 hour after my phone call - status went to "Carrier Pick up". Checked again just now, status changed back to "Drop Shipper".

My status has been on "To Drop Shipper" since 11/23. I NEEDED this router like yesterday. Luckily I found my WRT54G and went back to it. It will hold me until I get this. If doesnt' ship by Wed I am cancelling and get it from Amazon (regardless of price).

I'll never buy from TD online again. I wish I could have picked it up for this price at the store which is 3 minutes away from me.

After flip-flopping between "Carrier Pickup" and "To Drop Shipper" a few more times I finally got through to TD and cancelled the order. I now fully expect to get this router in the mail tomorrow ...

I've been checking my status all week and it has been To Drop Shipper. I debated back and forth on the amazon switch but decided to wait.

This morning, my status is now Shipped and was provided a tracking number.

Just checked my shipping status this morning, shows Shipped and with a tracking number too.

I like how they don't even bother to send you a shipping confirmation email to let you know they shipped it. Or provide complimentary overnight shipping or something. Bad business...

Mine is now saying "Sent to Drop Shipper, please allow 7-10 days for item to ship"
This is just stupid, I bought another one from Amazon when I saw this one was on backorder and got it yesterday.

I am never going to order anything from Tigerdirect again!!
