Rebate confusion - UPC's!

dronewolf 290 November 21, 2012 at 03:06 PM
Hey, I just recently bought some computer parts from newegg and they both have rebates to submit. I have never sent in a rebate and now I've worried myself that I wont do it right and not receive my rebates...The only reason is because they ask for the original upc code from the box. But after googling Ive gotten mixed help on where they are located!

To clarify...I bought this antec 520w psu that comes with 15$ rebate...Im not sure if I cut the label off the cardboard box that it came in or peel off the sticker that is on the box containing the psu?

Same with this N560GTX-Ti 448 graphics card that has a $100 rebate. The form says to include original UPC and serial number barcode. Same deal as before, there are bar codes on the actually cardboard box from newegg and a sticker on the box the card is in! Im guessing for this one they want both?

If anyone could clarify I would really appreciate it. Hope this is not a noob question!

never peel off the stickers - just submit them with the stickers attached.. photos would help, but generally just cut out the entire white barcode/model number area and send that

I would assume the barcodes on the newegg box are for newegg's inventory, and are completely unrelated.. but again, photos would help

same receipts or separate receipts? usually they ask for an original one not a photocopy. upc on the outside of box is what you are looking for. good luck

There should be a toll free phone number to call (listed on the rebate forms) that you can call to verify all the info, just to make sure you do it correctly.

Thanks. So Im guessing its the big one on the outsides. But I took pictures anyways.

This is on the actual antec box.

This was on the outside of the cardboard box that it came in.

And this is whats on the graphics card box

There was basically the same label on its box as was the outside of the other one...

The rebate for the graphics card ask for the original upc and serial number barcode so it must be both of the labels!

I have it figured out. It is the two labels that are on the packaged parts. I feel really stupid for cutting the newegg box up now...Thanks for the help!
