Buying A New Kia Rio EX
Hey guys,
Here's my situation:
I have been trying to get dealers to offer me an out the door price for this car through email, but they always avoid it as much as possible, giving me MSRP or close to invoice but never a complete price with all costs. Anyway, I have been going back and forth with this fleet manager and want to know what you guys think and what price I should offer. I appreciate any input, whether cynical, critical, or kind.
Here's the last email from him:
" I understand you being frank with me just like I was with you. It is how we work and it makes us understand each other... No rudeness. Here is a complete breakdown on this car I have... I mean every penny, option, and dollar. Everything is right from the Invoice... 2013 Kia Rio EX Starts at... MSRP / INVOICE 16,500.00 15,730.00 OPTIONS: BA Rear Bumper Applique $75.00 / $60.00 CF Carpeted Floor Mats $115.00 / $90.00 CN Cargo Net $50.00 / $40.00 CNP Convenience Package $1,150.00 / $1,035.00 CT Cargo Tray $80.00 / $65.00 EH EC Mirror w/ Compass & Homelink $350.00 / $280.00 WL Wheel Locks $50.00 / $40.00 18,370.00 / 17,340.00 +++750.00 Destination MSRP- 19,120.00 / INVOICE- 18,090.00 Hold back= 472.00 I will do 300.00 Under Invoice 17,790.00 Selling Price. Which Rebates do you qualify for? I know I can give you 500.00 in rebate currently if you finance with Kia Motot Finance... I do not know if you are a new college graduate or not which is worth 750.00... Must have graduated within 2 years and have proof. 17,790.00- 500.00 ===== 17,290.00 + tax and license. Here is where I got the 1400.00 Loass... 17,290.00 - 16,000.00 Offered Price == 1,290.00 + 150.00 My Minimum Pay... == 1,440.00... Although I did not adjust for the other 172.00 in holdback you can see where I am with this car. I have know where to go with this car. Please let me know what I can do to help. I cannot take the loss you are asking me to take on this car. The payment between what you want to pay and what I can sell it for is roughly 9.00 a month. Call me or text me. Please let me know when you would like to come in... I will have the car washed, filled up, and ready to go. No games and No bs buying."
