Some people said they got the LE39FHDF3300 instead of LE39FHDF3300TT. So if you contact Tigerdirect and return them the TV and have them resend new one to you, likely you can't get the rebate since most likely won't have LE39FHDF3300TT. Plus by the time receive the new TV, rebate submit time may expire.

It appears 'Defected' (Defection) is when a person leaves one group/country for an opposing group/country (such as during a war).

Out of the two tv's It seems one is the 00 and the other is the TT but guess what? The ups guy couln't find the TT in his truck but said he will be back later on cause too much stuff in his truck. So he just left the 00 with me

Haha I sent both, I was also scared and I just wanted to make doubly sure they got my rebate, I was very fortunate to have the TT model # matching the rebate form, so I fully expect to get the rebate, and I just mailed it today. Hopefully that process goes smoothly.

TD just credited my CC $20...I received the "you will get a gift card in 5-7 days" email...

got $20 giftcard after numerous calls ,email and IMs to tiger direct.Sent the rebate form with no wait period so that i can get quickly $45.

Yes I meant defective. I was too busy getting contact with TD to worry about spelling.

As an update to my saga, I went to the hardware store to see if they had better screws. They didn't have any of comparable size. I've had three more people try to screw in in the base; the screws are simply too big. I tried only putting only the screws into the TV to see if my alignment just sucks. It's not alignment related; the screws themselves won't even screw in all the way. Lameness.

Call TCL Customer Service, they should send you some.

I got my TV today opened and powered it .. Does not switch on !
So another defective piece I guess. I see an orange color light but when I press the remote button it just switches off .. and then no response to any buttons !
No wonder its worth less than 100 ( Sorry couldnt stop whining)

I received my LE39FHDF3300 today. It looks very nice and has a great picture. However, mine is on the way back.

I set it up and after 2 minutes it shut itself off. There was no standby light and it would not respond to the remote or power button. I unplugged it for about 10 minutes and then plugged it back in. The orange light came on. I powered on and had a picture. However, after 2 min, it shut off again. After one more cycle of unplug, turn on, and shut off, I called TD.

It took 45 minutes on hold to talk to someone. The agent I spoke to said this model is no longer available. They could give me a refund or sell me an equivalent model. I asked them if they just could put me on backorder again. The agent said no problem. After processing my return they would put me on backorder and send me another when they came back in stock.

So, I have to go back to waiting to see if I eventually do get a working LE39FHDF3300 or LE39FHDF3300TT.

Scared to ear on the failed units. So far 4 of them.. Keeping my fingers crossed and waiting for mine ordered at $179

Just got my TV today. Picture is nice but the sound is little weak. Not bad for $179.99 if the rebate works it would one of the best purchased I made on Black Friday!
