Yeah what Tmsmith616 said, but you really could have gone a lot cheaper if you don't play games. This laptop is probably going to be overkill for you. As for me, I can't wait to load up sleeping dogs. lol

Ya. I realized after buying . All SD effect.. After ordered then I realized. But it has lot of good features. I will give a try. But what about the return policy for Lenovo? Can I return without paying restocking fee?

I think my refresh button hates me, been hitting refresh on my UPS tracking page like a fiend today. lol Just need to remind myself it'll be here tomorrow and it is pointless to hit refresh now heh.

I did the same thing. Mine didn't arrive until around 8:30 PM last night. Turning it on for the first time today and about to do the Furmark test. Wish me luck.

Update:

Furmark benchmark ran without any problems. No BSOD, artifacts, freezes, etc. Windows 8 is going to take some getting used to... Overall freaking awesome high definition screen! Now installing mSata and 16gb of ram.

Received mine yesterday but medical conditions had me too tired to open it. I opened it today and man does windows 8 suck. I'm getting pretty frustrated. UEFI options, lets just say there are none. Not much to tweak in there. By youtube comparison, the option to create system recovery discs is LITERALLY NOT THERE in windows 8 vs win 7. Without recovery discs I have no clue how to reinstall on my new msata. Furthermore, the bottom of my computer doesn't have a product key sticker. So I guess there are other ways to retrieve it but damn this is getting stupid.

Page 26 tells you how make recovery discs.

Thats accurate for the win 7 version of y580. The windows 8 OKR program doesn't include the recovery discs option. And that section is omitted on the user guide thats on my computer.
