NEW VERSION: Rokinon HD8M-C 8mm f/3.5 HD Fisheye Lens with Removeable Hood for Canon DSLR 8mm $259 Shipped
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008X1C4IY/
(If above link doesn't take you to the $259 price find it here - http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-li...dition=new)
This is the new version of the popular 8mm lens but with better optics and a removable lens hood, great for people who have a full frame sensor. No more risky mods needed to remove the fixed hood of the previous generation.
Yes, it is fully manual but basically a non issue for a lens like this. Been discussed at length in threads for the previous version of this lens.
The former version of this lens without the removable hood has been a front page deal at $229 multiple times. This is a great deal on the inhanced version for $30 more. I bought mine for $279 and I thought that was a great deal.
(Note: If you have eBay bucks to spare or want to earn eBay bucks you can get this from eBay for the same price (plus lens cleaning supplies) here - http://slickdeals.net/f/5547742-R...ens-259-00)
UPDATE: If you prefer to buy direct from Amazon, they just reduced their price to $264.16 but it's out of stock. You can order but there's no delivery estimate. You also get 2% back from Amazon making the effective net price $258.88 which is a hair cheaper than the originally posted price.
