It has it's issues. There were never enough people from the large SD threads that came back (like after the summer deals // a Kmart one & then a Kmart PM to BB from that deal same deal, then some Best Buy $179 and probably a few more that my no sleep brain can't remember right this moment. But @ $99 the 5 year Geek Squad not sure if it's a bow tie one or ??? but it's only $24. Throw in a second set of glasses on sale @ BB & Amazon for $19.99 and for about the price of the best summer deal you can protect it for 5 years and be able to run the dual cast 2 people 1 monitor 3D experience --> Considering these once were $500ish that's pretty gangster SD although we didn't really have to do anything special to get it (hopefully BB or the company that actually underwrites the warranty will still be in existence in 5 years). I forget but the 4 years I think was $19.99 and their was a lessor one, but $5 a year & not having to pay to ship it, just returning it to BB & having them deal with it too many icons nah

Yeah, I got one in store about ~5:30 AM CST, I was working the internet side of things until about 5 AM Today (Friday) drove though the below freezing snow & sleet flurries to get into town; I thought for sure they would be all out, but a few were left. I got the LAST ONE... then they "found" (JK) no but seriously, I think an employee had one stashed, they located one after having a big hunt to find mine. Rather than trying to ebay or C.L. it, I was not greedy, so someone or an employees has it likely by now. It was hectic in there, not because of all the people at that point, just all the BB employees, some cutie patooties too falling all over themselves to help out the slow stream of customers.

See above. If you buy the Geek Squad extended warranty, from the information that was stated in those other threads you return it to BB you don't have to pay for the shipping to Sony.

shop discover is 5% plus extra 2% today for squaretrade warranty ( only offer 3 years tho ) but still its $13.99 because of value , cheaper than squaretrade with 35% off ( because your only gonna get $99.99 no matter what )

Same here. Walked in at 11am, 7 units sitting there with no price tag at all. Had them check the price at customer service and all of the employees there were like "Whoa!" Asked if they could just ring it up so also avoided the long line at checkout.

Walked into a bestbuy in Plano,TX at 7:00 Am CST. I see atleast 10 boxes racked up without any price tag or advertisement. I knew it was 100$ as i ordered one online, so i confirmed with sales person and picked two in my both hands and walked out of the door in few minutes with a smile

Checked out the demo piece in the store, and i have to say the build is soldi and looks slick. Speakers are ok nothing great. Includes 1 HDMI cable, 1 3d Glasses and a game. i am not a gamer and i don't need it at all.

In my hace to order one i forgot to buy warranty on this . what are the steps to getting warranty now? do i take the online reciept to the store and ask for a protection plan?

Scored 1 at bestbuy store at 10 am. They has about 20 and seem like nobody knows about it. Hopefully it's good for monitor

Take your reciept to the store and buy it there. You have 14 days to buy the warranty.

My store had 20+ at 11am. The associate I asked said the price was $180, then she scanned it. A few others overheard and grabbed one too. Bought the 5 year warranty as well.
