Repped. That was real easy. I cancelled my Newegg order and bought from BB instead. It's going to take a few more days to ship, but I'm primarily using this as a BR player, so if I'm not happy with the quality, I'm going to return it.

Return to NE is much hassle. I have free SR. I still prefer BB (if the price after tax is about the same). My closest BB is about 5 miles from my house.

The Wiki recommends against the super slim PS3. Of course we don't have any control over what they ship us, but if they ship us a super slim is it really that bad?

Unfortunately they don't carry the Infamous + Uncharted bundle in store, so it's not possible to swap the units. It's either keep the super slim or return it and have nothing.

BTW, I haven't seen a super slim in real life yet. Is there an obvious way to tell by the PS3 box if it's a super slim or do you just look at the picture of the PS3 on the box and "recognize" it or is the only way to find out to open the box?

The super slim isn't that bad -- people are just mad about the manual sliding door for the disc drive and since Sony raised the retail price instead of lowering it even though it costs them much less to make the unit now (used to be $249 & $299 retail, but new super slims are $269 & $299)

the ps3 is a way better deal imo.. but if you want xbox games you need an xbox

The console is HD, but only comes with composite (yellow/white/red) SD cable in the box -- you'll have to buy an HDMI cable separately (any HDMI cable will work)

PS3 always came with a composite cable -- Xbox 360 used to come with a 2in1 component & composite cable, but now they only give composite

They do it on purpose so people who don't know anything about technology will spend money on overpriced accessories
