Optimus Elite for Virgin Mobile $50 at BB

I think the Kyocera Rise for 30 bucks might be a better bargain, but then again that is not online, in store only. The Rise has a 1 ghz CPU, same size screen, keyboard, android 4.0, but a worse camera. Either way, getting sick of this optimus V....

No, the cheapest plan current is 35 dollars a month. You pay 35 dollars for unlimited data and msg but 300 AT minutes for calling.

You also have the paylo plan which is 20 dollars a month for 400 AT but not worth it if you txt or do data.

You are thinking of Net10 I believe or one of the other....

Just online via "Swap Phone" after logging in to your account. Still shows I'm on the $25 Beyond Talk plan and that $25 is charged at my next due date. I figured I'd be the guinea pig because this is an extra line so if they bumped me up to $35, not a huge deal. BUT - I'm still on the $25 plan!

The phone works great. I bought a TPU case from.. either Amazon or eBay which is nice. It's a little tight but it makes the phone less slippery.

How long ago did you try this? I am on the $25 and don't want to risk losing it.

Also how do you feel the Optimus V compares to this phone? Aren't the screen sizes the same?

Ordered in CA and they charged me $8 tax. Is that right?

Yesterday, my gf did hers too and there was no problem. The Optimus V is one of my all time favorite phones because it's built like a tank AND performs really well. The Elite is really nice too. The only thing you'll be missing is creating a WiFi hotspot from your phone to share with your laptop/tablet, but if you don't need that, moving up to the Elite is a no brainer. It just feels snappier and has MUCH more memory available for apps.

I think in CA you get charged tax on the original retail price, not the sale price? Not sure.
