I haven't received a shipping notification yet either. Last Thanksgiving I bought one for my sister and it shipped the next day. I'm guessing they're just delayed because of large order numbers.

Order confirmation received on 11/22/2012 at 6:06 am. No shipping confirmation has yet been received.

I checked original eBay listing regarding shipping. It says:
"Delivery* on or before Monday, December 3, to XXXXX [zip code] per eBay Fast 'n Free.

"* Estimated delivery dates include seller's handling time, and will depend on shipping service selected and receipt of cleared payment. Delivery times may vary, especially during peak periods."

Because of this, I adjusted my expectations on when to receive the Nook Color. Perhaps we all will have the opportunity to practice at least one of the three things that Herman Hesse's Siddhartha can do: "I can pray, I can wait, and I can fast."

I also received an order confirmation email. My order said delivery was to be on or before Wednesday, November 28, 2012. Not holding my breath at this point...

I see my Nook Tablet I ordered after I ordered this has shipped and has tracking, but they haven't shipped my Nook Color yet from what I see.

Does Nook color have to be rooted to play MP4's or does it do it out of the box? Most of my vids are this format. Is there a preferred conversion (handbrake?) software in case they dont work?

According to NOOK Color User Guide, the device can play the following types of video files: Adobe Flash, 3gp, 3g2, mp4, m4v, and ogg. The device supports MPEG-4 Simple Profile up to 854x480, H.263 up to 352x288, and H.264 baseline profile up to 854x480.

While waiting for the Nook Color, I converted one of my DVDs to mp4 (848x480) so I can watch it on the Nook Color as soon as it arrives.
