Use MAKEMKV [makemkv.com] to rip Bluray. It's not free but it's one of the cheapest paid ones and works real well

I actually went for the Lite-on one for $55, no rebate. Basically the same rating, same specs, don't want more money tied up waiting dor rebates.
Also, for the combo I went with the Quantum discs. They have way more reviews than the Rosewill (164 reviews vs 23) but cost a few dollars more. |

I'm tempted to get this because of what a deal it is (even after you factor in the cost of software), but... what exactly would I use a Blu-Ray burner for? I can fit more onto my USB flash drive, and that's actually recognized by other computers.
Also, didn't Microsoft promise to patch Blu-Ray video support into Windows 7 at some point? Let me guess, they changed their mind and decided to make people buy Windows 8 instead. |

I thought the same thing. Untill i realized the price difference between a BR Burner and a BR Player is roughly $10. So it all depends how much you value those $10. I pulled the trigger for that reason and since my current DVD burner is going out. Lookie here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Pro...6827136252 Last edited by o0adam0o; 11-22-2012 at 11:16 AM.. If you answer my questions i will rep.
I imagine you will do the same ![]() |
