Asus Blu-ray Burner $40 AR, FS

The typical DVD burner costs about $15.00 now.....within the next year, you guys think a BD-burning will drop alot? If it still hovers around $40.00, I might pull the trigger as a backup.

I've been using an LG version for the last 2 years and just feel like getting another as a backup as a justification at this price =)

I actually went for the Lite-on one for $55, no rebate. Basically the same rating, same specs, don't want more money tied up waiting dor rebates.

Also, for the combo I went with the Quantum discs. They have way more reviews than the Rosewill (164 reviews vs 23) but cost a few dollars more.

How is this overpriced? It's an internal Blu-ray writer. $40 after rebate is a phenomenal price compared to anything else I've seen. Even though I went with the slightly more expensive one.

Did you buy the LO bluray burner on NewEgg? Which one?

Can someone school me on what software to use to make copies. I use to use dvd shrink to make it into an iso to burn. Is there a BlueRay Shrink or anything like that?

No, it won't. I am waiting for the LG OEM 14x 3D m-disc burner's price to go at a reasonable level.

Eh, the combo with discs pushes it over the edge. In for one with shoprunner 2 day shipping.

I need one with lightscribe, any suggestions?
