I usually convert my rebate GCs to Amazon credit...
Basically, just buy an Amazon GC for the amount on the card, then immediately apply the code to your account. No expiration, and it's safely yours forever without any fees.
That's a good idea, but since Amazon started charging tax in TX, I don't shop there as often. : \
Received mine yesterday. Just called in today to request a check. Takes about 20 business days to receive it, which is like another month in real time. Took a couple of calls, because the CSR doesn't really understand you. Think they're in India.
Much rather get a check. Don't purchase often from amazon. The phone number is on the back of the card. I really suggest you guys call in to request a check. Don't put up with these rewards cards.
I prefer GCs over checks b/c it saves me a trip to the bank. And one time, I got a rebate check from Ace Hardware that somehow bounced! So not only did I not get the rebate (about $10 if I recall) but I was also charged a fee by my bank b/c the check bounced.
