Serious question: what's the point of this? GPS capabilities on a laptop? Is that it or am I missing something?
10 years ago I went on a trip with a friend. He had this running on a laptop, bungee corded to his dashboard. It was as dumb as it sounds.
I am amazed they are still selling it.

2 week vacation with 100 stops and 4000 miles? No wonder you don't mke any hotel reservations. I doubt you have time to sleep with a schedule like this Smilie.
"Hey, hey, easy kids. Everybody in the car. Boat leaves in two minutes... or perhaps you don't want to see the second largest ball of twine on the face of the earth, which is only four short hours away?"

That's funny. Many of the so called stops in s&t are simply 3 or 4 hotels in an area we might want to spend the night. Or points along a route to force the software to route a specific path. Most aren't actual destinations.

Haven't strapped grandma to the roof in a rocker yet..

We used this years ago, and it allowed you to set the vehicle as an RV (restricted height for example), or wide load (our boat has a 10' beam)...if you need wide load permits you could also set driving times (daylight in the case of the wide load) and plan accordingly.

None of the standard GPS solutions do this, and the versions that do are sold on the commercial market and NOT cheap.

The older version, in-route use required a competent co-pilot - not sure about newer versions.
