T-Mobile has the no annual contract 4G Mobile Hotspot for $35, including a free $25 refill card and free shipping. This is normally $115 at Walmart without a $25 refill card. The $25 refill card will get you 1.5 gigs for a month. Happy Thanksgiving!!!

YOU CAN NOT use this with the walmart 60 day card. ONLY Hoptspots pruchaced at walmart can use the special "60 day" walmart card. This unit will only give you 30 days on the $35 card.

Want to unlock this device? Yes you can but notice that

ZT61 supports this bands
GSM/GPRS: 1900 MHz;UMTS: Band IV (1700/2100)
http://www.zteusa.com/device/2011..._1370.html

As of 24-Dec-2011 the AWS Band or Band IV is used only by the following carrier:
- USA: T-Mobile, Cincinnati Bell Wireless
- Canada: WIND Mobile, Mobilicity, Videotron
- Chile: VTR, Nextel

So as long as you plan to unlock it to use with the above carriers then it will work

Great deal, but they won't let me order because ordered too many similar deals in the past.
LOL... you should take that as a compliment of your T-Mobile deal hunting skills.

Btw, I already have this same Hotspot device and TMobile 4G service and it is well worth it in the ATlanta metro area...really fast on my laptop. If you have a smartphone that you can hotspot, you don't need this but it works for me.

Yes they had one similar to this with the USB stick and I bought three of those...sold the USB sticks to recoup my costs and kept all the refill cards, basically for free.

no, this may be cheap but they'll ream you on the data charges. For $10 you can resell for profit though.

Bought one! I would have spent $30 on my prepaid service next month anyway. So this is really only costing me $15 w/ prepaid card! Sweet Deal!

I remember reading that T-Mobile 4G HSPA+ is almost as fast as AT&T 4G LTE. I remember people were averaging 3ish Mbps down...

Thanks OP, I ordered one. A big TU and reps for a great deal. Just note that these cards are for a certain amount of data over a specific time period. Walmart's Internet-on-th-Go hotspot lets you purchase data that can be used any time. A very different proposition so use your discretion in deciding which one to purchase. Walmart's is also 3g only.

How fast is the data speed?
Totally depends on the coverage in the area you are. I use a verizon mifi and it can be really spotty in some areas.

It's superfast in ATL area...I don't remember the exact speeds but seems like at least 6Mpbs down...I won't swear to that but it is faster than my old home cable internet service used to be.

what do u mean? if i buy a $25 reload for dec. and i run out half way into the month i cant reload it again? if i dont use all the data i purchase in a month does it rollover?

or is it like a contract plan where you just buy a $25 each month and you get 1.5 gb?

No, T-Mobile is one of the "big four" carriers. They use GSM/HSPA+ for 4G. Decently fast.
Sprint is CDMA, completely different network. And AWFUL.sometimes I wish it was dialup since it dies for minutes so often too, at least dialup was consistently slow.

Has anyone succesfully used the device bought from t-mobile directly with walmart 60 day $35 plan ? Based on the walmart website it is only for walmart t-mobile devices ?

http://www.walmart.com/ip/T-Mobil...y/21191046

Access 4G Internet on the go with the T-Mobile $35 Prepaid Mobile Broadband Pass. It offers 3.5GB of data usage and is good for 60 days only at Walmart. Pass is only eligible on broadband devices purchased at a Walmart after 6/1/2012. The pass includes no activation fee, no annual contract, no credit check and no overages. And it works with any new T-Mobile Laptop Stick or mobile hotspot purchased at Walmart. If you regularly surf the web, check email and update your social network, this card is a good choice.

I'm pretty sure these data cards aren't interchangeble with the prepaid phone cards. And these aren't phones, they're mobile hotspots.I use a T-mobile prepaid cellphone.
I used the prepaid card that came with the USB broadband "stick" to add funds to my prepaid phone account. Even though the card was labeled for prepaid broadband services, it worked just fine.

With the $25 card you are buying 1.5GB for a month. Once either the 1.5GB runs out or the month is over, it is gone. With the Walmart Internet-on-the-Go plan you buy a certain amount of GB and can use it over a century if you desire. The T-mobile plan most likely goes for a 30 or 31 day period, not a calendar month though. I haven't read through all the terms yet.
