Tried calling them 3 times last week and this week. They agreed to price match but apply CA tax on the full retail price of the phone. So, it was coming out to be about $50. Bummer. No go.
Yup, can't blame AT&T for that. Even here in Mass, I have to pay sales tax on the full retail amount.
Yes, true but not everybody is getting for free. I called the first csr offered for 49 and I asked to transfer to retention but that lady was saying 49 is not she can offer. the best she can do is 179.00.
I just called and was offered the S3 for free (already have one, so don't need it anymore) or the Note 2 for $199 (don't need that either because I already have one ). So it can be done. Just ask nicely to match Sam's price. They are more than willing to. And this was me just casually asking prices. I called in for a completely different billing reason.

Was looking at this site for Verizon upgrade. Bad thing is...it never showed me a price even after I added it to my cart. Then it wants my Verizon password and last 4 of SSN to check eligibility. Not at all comfortable giving them that info without even seeing a price.
Tried as a new customer and price for that is $169.
Reps are like flowers...they should be given to the people who help you out, share a great deal or make you smile
