Yeah shop runner is lame, and apparently they know it is. I never joined after my free trial a year ago and last month they sent me an email for one year free membership lol. Still haven't used it because it seems like anything bigger than a DVD doesn't qualify. Also, the stores they cover are kinda lame.

Bought yesterday, returning today.

My B&M store did not have this on sale so they had to PM the site...which meant the system would not accept my Groupon. Whatever.

Brought it home, installed fresh D's and loaded up a 35 round drum I have. This thing sucks. Range is horrible (like 20 feet PTG). I feel I could throw the dart further. Accuracy is all over the board. You would have to be on top of someone to get a hit. The gun is heavy and a PIA to swing around.

The novelty of full auto wears off quickly. Yeah its fun to hold the trigger and spray ammo but with the 18 round mags that comes with it, that's 6 seconds (assuming a rate of fire at 3 per second). There is a very noticeable lag between holding the trigger and it firing...so doing semi-auto is a PIA. And 3 per second isn't that great. I know I can get higher voltage batteries blah blah blah. But I am not going to invest more money into this thing.

I've learned from some HvZ and airsoft battles that using your ammo smartly is a better strategy than just making it rain. Sure most teams will have a LMG to hold cover fire but the range of this thing nullifies that point. I'm sure this would be fun for an 8 year old but even they are going to get tired of lugging it around. I tried to justify it to myself to keep it to just shoot around the house/office but after picking up ANY other Nerf gun and shooting it, this thing is going back.

The 18rd mags go for $10 each and you get three of them. Throw away the gun and it's still a good price. The N-Strike Elite guns are better, shoot farther, produce a nice sting at close range.

In the past couple of weeks this has gone for $20 at 5 major retailers; I smell clearance.

For those interested, Toys R Us branded batteries are BOGO. I grabbed a couple of 6-packs of D-cell for these guns. I filled the remainder with LEGO mini-figures(which are also buy 1 get 1 50% off) until I got to $49+.
