If you are looking for one of these at this price and have a Sam's club membership, you can check their stores for these too. Was in local Sam's club around 5pm last night and they had at least 20 of them still available.
Thank you so much for the information! I will try to make partitions and see if it works
I haven't unboxed mine yet. Have you tried a thumb drive to test that? I personally stay away from 3TB externals because I think they must have a special controller in them because otherwise how would they work with 32bit OS such as XP which they say they support? If you put them as an internal drive into a Windows 7 64-bit machine you have to format with GPT instead of MBR. I think if you have any drive issue and want to take them out of the external case and plug them into your PC SATA directly it won't recognize it (I suspect due to this special formatting). This is why I stick to 2TB for external cause if anything goes wrong, I want to be able to plug it into my PC to recover it. I could certainly see this blu-ray player going wack-a-doo since with MBR addressing you are limited to 32-bit for sector count @ 512bytes per sector or 2TB (2^32 * 512 bytes = 2TB).
It says in the manual that it supports up to 4 partitions. So if it's not inconvenient, you might try making two 1.5TB partitions on the drive and see if it will find those. Just an idea.
OK - help please I don't know much about electronics. I bought this on BF, thinking - by not reading the ad carefully - that this had WIFI and apps. If I have an external WIFI thingamabob, will I be able to stream through this player?
Does this Bluray player remember your place in a video if you remove the disk from the player? My Philips Dvd player can remember up to five disk. I think that is a very convenient feature.
It seemed to, but good luck with the POS as I couldn't ever get it to go fullscreen with DVD/Blu-ray even though other players would do it natively. Its going back to wallyworld. Called LG and they were out of ideas to try other than changing resolution.
