Thanks OP! Just picked up 1 at my local OM. The $15 off is instant and there is a $5.95 "activation fee"

Used my Chase Ink card and got 5x ultimate rewards points!

I was told that I needed to wait 24 hours before the card would be activated. Strange.
I dont think so, They are activated immediately atleast for me. I already used them to purchase other GC's at Kroger.

they make it up as they go along, don't be suprised. if you go to the same store on a different day you may get something different.....

true, but it seemed like as if they had received some kind of instruction from the district manager or some sort, because unlike last year, most clerks told me outright that the limit for the GC is 1. I think that one store that let people buy up to 8 in one transaction was an anomaly. I couldn't afford to hold more than $1000 in GC, so I didn't buy more at that location.

But, I do agree with you on that they will change the rule whenever they want.

activation is usually instant. Check the little slip that says "activated" or "activation declined" or some sort. All of mine were activated immediately.

BTW, does anyone know if this is Friday only deal? I am too lazy to get out and buy more, but I might change my mind and buy some more tomorrow if still available.

My store allowed me to purchase 3 Visa's. I'll need to verify that they are all activated.

Yes, three activation slips and three cards (two visas and a mastercard) and not one is activated............ it's been 7 hours since we got them.

Visa said it's OM's issue.

OM Store said it is a "sporadic" issue with some of the cards not actually being activated and "hopefully" it will be straightened out "in a few days" but it might take longer.

I'm going to file a dispute with Mastercard (the card I used to buy them).

there was no $100 giftcards on the rack, so took $200 visa gc one and paid with $6 fee but didn't give me the $15 discount. so the rep found 2 $100 visa gc at her counter, paid for both with the $200 visa gift card, got $10 discount on each. there was one more $100 visa gc , asked her to process that too and paid with my chase card and with the fee, I paid $90 for $100 visa gc.

in total, I made about $25 in profit.

bought 3 at one store and 6 at another. ~$80 in profit for stopping at two locations on my way home. Great deal.

This says "thru 11/24/12"---do you know whether it's through the EOD tomorrow, or expires at 12:01 a.m. on 11/24/12? I'd like to stop tomorrow and see if they still have one, if the deal will still be good.

Wait at least 24 hours. I called the number on the back. The CSR said that they were having problems today. At first, I was getting an error message on the website. Now, it shows up with a 0 balance. Keep all of the documentation to include the packaging. If OM won't issue you another card, you can fax (414-341-7600) to Attn: Gift Card Activation with the following: receipt, activation receipt, front and back of card, front and back of packaging, write the card number, first and last name, phone number, email address, and times that you aren't available via phone. If takes 1-2 weeks to get the money placed on the card via this route.
