Ordered this earlier today for my mom who uses her current laptop for basic web browsing, ebook management (Calibre), Facebook, Youtube, watching videos, etc. I didn't notice before now that the specifications mentioned 4GB max. Anybody know for sure? 4GB should be more than enough, but the idea of not being able to upgrade later down the line has me hesitant and wondering if I should try to cancel the order.

4GB is the minimum RAM for Windows 64 bit but I was hoping for more speed.
TigerDirect/CNET show 1 slot, 4 GB max Crucial shows 1 slot, upgradable to 8GB Intel site shows 2 slots, upgradable to 16GB It's very confusing...I'm going to have to hold off on buying additional RAM until I receive the laptop. You may have to take a chance on it if you want the sale price. Limited return policy, so buyer beware! It also appears that there is only 1 USB port which uses both USB2.0/3.0 |
