FiiO E10 44.99 + FS from Adorama!

Bought 2 of these! I've been wanting one for a while and getting one as a gift for someone else. Hell of a deal!

It will if your 3.5mm jack is noisy but your USB isn't (like my old dell).

I would get this. But I need to know how to use a system-wide equalizer with this. Like the one that comes with Realtek.

It depends. It's not just a matter of powering up headphones. The best way to view this is that the DAC/Amp also works like a amp for speakers. It can also have the effect of improving the sound in comparison to the amplifier that's in your computer's headphone jack. I have a Denon D2000 closed ear headphones that I think are rated to use 25 ohms in power which is quite low. and can be easily driven by most built-in amps. However, when I plug them into my Headroom Total Bithead DAC/heaphone amp, they sound radically better than the headphone jack in my laptop.

I have this DAC and a GS3, it doesn't work. Bummed me out too.

As per the comments on Adorama under questions in the product page, this is not the new version it seems as per customers. Anyone can clarify this?

will this make NPR online streamcast sound better with my triple fi 10s?

I've been doing research for the past few hour on this. It seems like that there were several revisions with the Fiio E10 due to manufacturing defects. The third and newest revision should feature a gold plated headphone jack as well as white lettering on the side that says "Olympus" on it. From the stock pictures it looks like this is an older version, but the title it claims that it's the "newest version".

The question and answer on the site doesn't really inspire real confidence that this would be the "newest" version as someone claimed that they brought it back in September and he received the older revision. The customer representative answer of that there's no product number from the manufacturer to track this and this should be the latest version from the manufacturer but it seems like he was talking out of his ass as he didn't update the pictures and description.

Are you sure? Coz the last answer was replied around Oct 12 2012 says this is not the new version.
