I must say, Im saddened and underwhelmed by the sale this year.

Man, if the items included in the advent calendar weren't so lame, I would be excited about a $15 discount.....

I'm surprised they didn't discount the City Advent... I got the Star Wars advent x 2 last year and they ended up in drawers as they aren't very fun to play with again, but they do have a daily novelty feeling while it lasts.

Is this price available in stores also you think??

The Holiday set is worth $20 on Ebay so call it another 10% off if you come close to $150 in items. You can use Shop Discover for another 5% savings and if you are a VIP member another 5%. Tax is a killer but no shipping.

From a quick look, the amount of discount seems like related to the reviews of the item. I guess if the reviews are bad, less people buy it so they probably give more discount. Seems like it make sense to provide more "con" reviews at Lego.com site.

You can always add minifigs on sale for $1.5 if you need to reach $150.

Some will argue this is overpriced to begin with (it is), and you will have to pay tax. If you purchase 2 (or find other stuff to spend 49 or more) you will get free shipping. So this deal isn't for everyone, but they also have a free Christmas set if you spend $100, and a 10% off your order if you spend $150. Anyway, buying two of these sets will get you free shipping.

The Calendars themselves are very cool, lots of mini models and a few minifigs including a couple of exclusives. Typically after Christmas you will find these on clearance for the same price (half off), but as an early gift or for the collector, tough to complain about the price right now.

They are selling on Amazon for right about MSRP currently.

All in all, a good deal I think - IF you purchase two or otherwise get the free shipping. Enjoy!
