So tell what am I missing. You are saving $100 by purchasing a refurb when you can get a brand new one for $199. When you go to sell it in two years you are trying to sell a refurb compared to a one owner phone. You will more than make up your money by purchasing the new phone.
I had an upgrade available and bought the refurb. Here's why: I put that $100 towards AppleCare+, which gives you an extra year of warranty coverage. It sure beats that overrated extended warranty from AMEX or Chase Visa, which only covers the subsidized purchase price of the phone aka $99. I'm positive a 2-year warranty will more than compensate the resale value of an Apple refurb.
SI am having the same problem with Verizon. Just because you want a smartphone, you need to pay $40/mo (Verizon is $30/mo) I don't use the plan, but want an iphone. The cheapest plan here is $90/mo. Does anyone know about a better alternative to get an iphone? TIA
