I went in and bought 5 of these myself from my local target. They were the white cards, not the green as displayed in the printed ad.
They rang up as 19.99, but a manager price-matched them down to $10 since their printed ad did indeed show the $10 price. This was today (Saturday). Those were the only cards I could find, so be prepared to have to ask to price match them if you get the white cards. Thankfully they had no problem doing so even though someone on their walkie-talkies told them it was a "misprint". (As far as I know, stores have to honor misprints anyways to prevent bait and switch) |

I went to target today and got the ones shown in the ad. It rang up at $20 but i took it to guest services and the cashier told me they ran out of the $10 ones yesterday even after I told them the deal was live both days. What bs.
Is it still possible to price match at Walmart? Last edited by xxkae; 11-24-2012 at 10:48 PM.. |

If anyone's still seeking them out, PM me and we can arrange something.
Bought 35. I saved 5 for myself, figure I'll share 10-15 with friends. That leaves 15 cards if people are interested. All in, my cost was about $11/card with tax so if $15/card seems fair (little something for my time and still a $5 discount on a $20 card), let me know. Glad to have found this deal and don't feel compelled to seek out that extra $3-$4/card if I ebay them later on... blah, too much hassle. Sidenote: if i'm violating any rules by suggesting a transaction in the forums, I apologize -- just trying to share the discount for anyone who couldn't get the cards locally. I almost only bought 5 out of skepticism the deal wasn't legit, but now that I'm like - uh - wow! - sweet. Thus, no need to go for the big score awaiting more $ for the cards, and this way some fellow SDers could get in on it. |

I remember a discussion I had with others whether Microsoft would close down the Xbox Live system and render everyone's purchased XBLA games obsolete when the new Xbox comes out. People seemed to think universally that even Microsoft wouldn't be that low and anger all of the people who purchased games on XBLA who can no longer download them or play them on other consoles using their account. So, if that's true, I can't see that Microsoft would void and render worthless all of the existing points cards. I assume when you redeem a points card you'd simply get 1.2 cents per point. I have no intention to sell my extra $10 Xbox Live 1600 points cards and intend to keep them for a couple years to pay for what I buy. Until Microsoft or Sony violates my expectations that all digital content I buy will indefinitely be mine to play as long as I own either console, I'll assume the best. The moment either company violates that and takes away any of my purchased games is the last day I will ever pay anything for any digital download game on any platform (Steam included). I buy to own the games indefinitely... not until a bean counter at some company decides to take my games away. Most games I've bought I've never even played. |

This worked for me on Saturday and they didn't charge me tax either (and I live in MA).
